Therefore, not only on August 17, we talk about the spirit of unity, defend the country and appreciate the services of the heroes. However, every day our attitude and the words we say must reflect all that. If we are filled with a great sense of love for our homeland, then we can defend this country with all its honor and no other nation will dare to invade us again.

It looks like we still have a long way to go to become one big fabulous nation. Even so, that is not impossible to achieve. With the natural and human resources we have, I believe we can pursue our dream to become the greatest country.
Respected teachers and dearest friends, freedom is something we should grateful for. To show our gratitude, we should contribute positively to society. We don’t have to be the president or the ministry first to contribute to our country. Even a small act, like being respectful and tolerant towards others, plays a really important part in developing this country. Every person has a role to help to make our nation better and always peaceful. For example, students’ roles are to study hard, and teachers’ roles are to educate students. Of course, we ideally have to do our roles right so we can obtain our goals faster.
Ladies and gentlemen, to end my speech, I would like to ask you to pray to God for us and this country. Let’s ask Him to help us maintaining peacefulness so that our children and grandchildren will also be able to celebrate Independence Day with the freedom right in their hearts.

If the people of a country care about the education, it shows that they love their nation. It is said that in order for a country to prosper it needs education, but why?
The honorable audiences, we study not to go to the graduation ceremony and hang our picture on the wall of our house, much less to show off to our friends. we study to practice and to acquire knowledge, and those two then will prepare us to the real life situation. Education brings us too many benefits, such as confidence in ourselves, freedom to decide, conscience as a whole, help us to improve ourselves, to feel fulfilled, to feel that we are something in life and that we have an end for which to live. But this is not the only satisfaction that education gives us, but with it we achieve a better quality of life; When we want to buy a dress, shoes, food, or anything else, we need a work, which currently is not so easy to find and less if we don’t have an adequate education.
It is said that the future of our country is in the hands of the children and as the children in this country, we must try hard to achieve that. That is why today I invite all the audiences here to reflect on the importance of education. We have to take advantage of this chance to be able to go to school to study. We must appreciate the effort that our parents make to send us to school, and think that there are many children who would like to study but for some reason they can not do it.
Finally, ask ourselves: without effort and education, how do we want to improve ourselves? How do we want to live better? In short, how do we want a better country?. Therefore, education is an important part of our life as well as an essential part to develop a better future for the country. So this is the end of my speech today. I hope some of the points that I have conveyed today make us more appreciate of our chance to be able to have the education at school and make us study more dilligently for both our country’s and our own future. first of all i would like to say thank to god for give me the opportunity to stand here to deliver my speech aoabut Proclamation and Independence Day of Republic of Indonesia.
August 17 1945 is a very historical day for Indonesian people. Through a very long journey Mr. Soekarno and Mr. Hatta proclaimed Indonesian national independence on that day in 1945 with the helps of all the fights of countrymen of Indonesia.
Reaching for the independence for our nation was not an easy task. Therefore, we must protect and maintain this independence with everything we have in our power. There are many obstacles that disrupt our nation during our efforts in order to become an independent, democratic, and prosperous nation. Therefore, Government of Republic of Indonesia today determines the topic of this celebration of Independence Day, as follows: ‘With the Spirit of Proclamation of August 17 1945 We All Carry Out the Mandate of General Election Year 2004 to Build Indonesia Which Are United, Developing, and Democratic’.
The execution of transparent, fair, clean, and secure General Election several years past had been complemented by many countries and elements from all over the world. That was some kind of achievement for Indonesia to ward off those judgments of others countries that said Indonesia was a nation who wouldn’t be able to run democracy.
To all my honorable fellow countrymen,
I suppose we need to get back to the topic about our bilateral relationship between Indonesia – Australia which is always based on the principles of appreciating, understanding, and taking advantage each other. This bilateral relationship lately is quite pleasing even though there are several issues regarding the involvements of Australia in East Timor, overcoming black immigrants, terrorism, and others.
In the field of defense and security, government should keep building the relationship of cooperation and being involved in various activities which are “confidence-building measures”. And hopefully, through the sector of education and tourism, the feeling of appreciating each other will grow well between Indonesian and Australian people.
To all the students and collegians, I appeal one more time to utilize the available opportunity to study and develop the bilateral relationship between our nation and Australia. And the last, I also would like to appeal all of the Indonesian people in Australia to take part in reaching for the good goals of General Electing we will be conducting on September. Use your right as best you could to elect the candidates of president and vice president with all of your heart.
That’s all from me. Allow me to put an end of this speech by saying, “Long live Republic of Indonesia! Once Independent Forever!”
Independence is the right of all nations and therefore should be in contention to eliminate , because it does not correspond to human justice , Indonesia's ceremony it is in August 17th Indonesia's Independence day.
